If there was a table for best kits, Arsenal would be
hands down Premier League champions this season.
The north London club has unveiled what their home
jersey for next season will look like, and fans will love it.

The adidas top pays homage to the club’s 1930s/40s
heritage with reference to the club’s prolific ‘Art Deco’ period. They won six
league titles and three FA Cups from 1930-50.
Arsenal used a geometric crest between 1936-49 and the
chevron graphic on the home jersey is inspired by the “A” within.
adidas also say the shirt is a nod to the layout of the
tiling on the floors of the East Stand’s famous marble halls – the historical
home of Arsenal before the 2006 move from Highbury to the Emirates Stadium.
Meanwhile, the back-neck sign off also references the
original crest, with the chevrons facing both east and west, representing the
past and present of the club’s cannon emblem.
The side of the shirt has three white adidas stripes
Mesut Ozil (left), who’s very much out of favour with
Mikel Arteta, also posed with the shirt
The shade of red is darker than usual as a nod to the
club’s heritage.
Fans will get first sight of the new kit for Arsenal’s
final Premier League match of the season against Watford on Sunday.
Mikel Arteta’s side will also wear it when they face
Chelsea in the FA Cup final on August 1 as Arsenal seek their 14th Cup crown.
The fact that star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
modelled the jersey will encourage Arsenal fans as it suggests he could be at
the club next season despite rumours linking him with a move away.
Mesut Ozil, who hasn’t featured for the Gunners since
the season restarted, was also part of the photo shoot.
