Manchester
United, Benfica, Fifpro And Laliga Amongst Latest To Commit To Soccerex Europe

speakers from Manchester United and Benfica will be joining football luminaries
such as Deco and Gérard Houllier on the programme for this year’s Soccerex Europe,
5-6 September 2019, Oeiras, Portugal.
Domingos
Soares de Oliveira, CEO, Benfica Group will be sharing his expertise on the
inner workings and business practices of a top European Club gleaned from over
a decade with Benfica, as well as through his experience as a Board Member of
the European Club Association.
Manchester
United’s CEO of Media, Phil Lynch, will also be joining the Soccerex Europe
programme to provide a valuable look into how the club navigates media
fragmentation and the way broadcasting will change because of it. Phil has
spent over ten years working in the industry, moving from digital distribution
at Sony Pictures Television, to Global Head of Content & Media Partnerships
at Yahoo, before settling at Manchester United.
As
a speaker at the event, Domingos will be joining Pedro Proença, President of
Liga Portugal; Former Portuguese International and CEO of D20 Sports, Deco;
Former International, Manager and current Head of Global Football at Red Bull,
Gérard Houllier; and Erkut Sögüt, Football Agent whose clients include Mesut
Ozil amongst many more.
Soccerex
Europe is being shaped by an advisory board of football industry experts, of
which one of the latest members is Óscar Mayo, the Director of International
Development at LaLiga. Having held senior positions throughout the sports,
education and fitness sectors before originally joining LaLiga as an Executive
Agent at the Chairman’s Office, Óscar has a wide breadth of knowledge that will
assist in making Soccerex Europe’s conference programme as diverse and
high-level as possible.
Also
joining the advisory board is Andrew Orsatti, Director of Communications and
Marketing for FIFPro, the Amsterdam-based international trade union
representing an estimated 65,000 professional footballers via affiliated player
associations in over 60 countries. Andrew’s extensive career in media and
sports, as well as his current position as a spokesman on global issues
impacting football players and their workplace, will make sure that the
programme for Soccerex Europe covers a wide variety of topics from the players’
point of view.
The
two-day business event has also attracted strong interest from European clubs
for networking opportunities, with senior representatives from Inter Milan,
Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund, AFC Ajax, Everton amongst those signing up in recent
weeks to participate in the event.
