BIC 1 shaver, a leading
shaving brand in Nigeria has concluded plans to kick-start a coupon based
promotion aimed at rewarding its consumers for their loyalty and patronage over
the years.
The pan Nigeria consumer
promo which will also induce trial by new users will offer prospective and
existing consumers the opportunity to buy a pack or more of BIC 1 Shaver and
find the coupon placed inside the pack.
Thereafter, the consumer
scratches the panel to get the hidden number. It is this hidden number that the
consumer will send to a short code following which he gets feedbacks such as:

won instant airtime (VTU Top Up)
·Congratulations you have
been selected for the monthly draw
The promotion which will
last for 2 months will have a draw at the end of every month where loads of
prizes and the star prize of a car will be won

BIC has been present in
West and Central Africa since the early seventies first in stationeries,

A statement by the Product
Manager Lighters and Shavers West Africa, Bigué Diouf said “BIC revolutionized
shaving habits with the launch of BIC 1, a single blade shaver and has since
become a market leader in Nigeria.”
Commenting on the latest
promo exercise, she also disclosed that “the new promotion is also aimed at
re-introducing BIC 1 shaver and a large BIC shavers range into the Nigerian
market while also rewarding loyal consumers and recruiting lapsed and new users.”
She further revealed, “We
intend to use the BIC 1 shaver promo to grow the brand equity of BIC shavers
and by extension the BIC brand while also increasing BIC brand awareness and
encourage trial usage by target audience”.
The promo which will run
pan Nigeria will hold its draws in Onitsha and Lagos in August and September
2017 respectively.
