JAMB TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS TOURNEY: MOC Chairman commends sponsor, praises standard

The Kwara State Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, who is also the Chairman, Main Organising Committee (MOC) for JAMB/Tertiary Institutions football competition, Pharmacist Kale Ayo Nuhu has praised the standard of the state qualifiers, even as he commended JAMB for creating yet another platform to discover talents.

Pharmacist Ayo, who spoke to journalists after the qualifiers concluded yesterday (Friday) in Ilorin also commented the institutions for abiding by the rules, adding that the two qualifiers really deserve the tickets.

'I am really impressed by their standard of play and conduct throughout the four-day qualifiers, and I must thank the sponsor for giving us this wonderful opportunity,' he said.

College of Education, Oro defeated Federal Polytechnic, Offa 2-1 in the highly explosive encounter decided at the Main-Bowl of the Kwara State Stadium Complex. The two schools will represent the state in the national championship.

The Commissioner said that the finals in July will be an extended platform for Nigerian youths to really exhibit their talents, adding that the MOC will do all within its reach to provide a conducive and enabling environment for all the participants.

'We will work hard to provide the needed atmosphere, and I want the institutions to take full advantage of the opportunity provided by JAMB and Kwara State Government,' he added.

'In order to ensure a hitch-free finals, we have set up seven Committees, all of which have been mobilised into action ahead of the national championship.

While commending the Technical Committee for a job well done, he changed the two qualifiers to prepare well for the national championship.
