Plateau United are at the top of the league table with 25 points despite Stephen Odey’s brace for MFM at Agege stadium on Sunday.

Nigeria Professional Football League top scorer, Odey’s double barrel took his goal tally this season to 10 after secure a hard fought 2-1 win over league leaders Plateau United at the Agege Stadium on Sunday.

Odey opened scoring for the Olukoya Boys late in the first half, latching on an assist from Sikiru Olatubosun.

But the visitors responded after the resumption of the game after Peter Eneji leveled in the 62nd minute.

Odey then scored again, but, from the penalty spot late in the 88th minute to secure the three points to the delight of the fans at the packed Soccer Temple against Plateau, who were without their suspended Coach,Kennedy Boboye.

The win also sees the Fidelis Ilechukwu-tutored team move into second place on the table, one point behind the Jos-based club.
