Niger Tornadoes technical
adviser, Abubakar Bala has thanked the management for the opportunity given to
him to attend the on-going Confederation of African Football (Caf) Coach
License B Course in Abuja.
Bala said that it was a
tough decision applying for the course needed to upgrade his knowledge of the
game a time the club will need his service badly in the top-flight.
The former FC Lokoja
tactician said he has handed the club’s technical duties to his able
lieutenants to oversee the team matches within the period he would be away.
Bala who is enjoying life
with the Minna landlords said he will remain grateful to the management for
releasing him for the course assuring that while there he will be communicating
with his assistant coaches back home.
“Abuja, Minna or Lokoja is
nearby therefore I may get the opportunity to visit my team training session if
my time table permits it but if it does not the team is in good hands.
“I really appreciate the
management of the club this is one of the best I have worked with in my
coaching career.
“The management knows the
value of capacity building just before the commencement of the 2016/2017 NPFL
season two of my assistant coaches was to send to NIS to upgrade their
knowledge,” said Bala to supersport.com.
The Caf License B Course
commenced on Monday in Abuja and it is expected to last for two weeks.
The Minna outfit are sixth
on the 20-team top-flight on 21 points four behind leaders, Plateau United.
Niger Tornadoes will host
