Promosalons set to organise agric trade show in France

PROMOSALONS NIGERIA which is the exclusive official representative of SIMA in Nigeria  will be organizing a mission of Nigerian Companies to this  year‘s SIMA 2017, the International Agricultural Trade Show which comes up from 26th of February to 2nd of March 2017 & SIA (SALON INTERNATIONAL DE L’AGRICULTURE) which also comes up between February 25th and March 5th 2017; both in Paris France.

SIMA as a biennial event contains a showcase of agricultural innovations, technology and latest trends. It also provides the ideal avenue through which participants can be able to explore numerous options in order to attain developmental strides in the agricultural sector.

The French Development Agency (AFD) would be there to provide its services through grants, loans, guarantee funds for projects, programmes and studies, and supports its partners in strengthening their capacities.

 With its unique and diverse offering, participants who participate at this International Agricultural Trade Show will able to build relationships and contacts with a view to increasing their international trade productivity.

This year’s edition of SIMA 2017 promises to be a memorable one as statistics from the previous edition showed the following: 1,740 companies from 40 countries, 238,848 visits from 142 countries, 300 international delegations, and 92% visitor satisfaction ratings.

The following sectors of the Agricultural Industry are covered at the event (Transportation, Harvesting, Storage, Traction, Crop Protection, Conservation, Harvesting Equipment, Irrigation, Crops, Handling, Transport, Dairy Production, Livestock Equipment, Storage Buildings, Spare Parts and Components, etc.). 

This International Agricultural Show is the perfect avenue for The Nigerian Professionals in The Agri-Business Sector to discover New Technologies, New Products, New Equipment and New Ideas being used.

This year’s edition of SIMA at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre will be a place for the discovery of innovation and talent as it will focus on the theme "Being a farmer in 10 years”. The Trade Show will cast a prospective look at the job of farming through the new vintage of one of its leading events-within-the-event: “Innovation First” from Four (4) main angles namely: Digital Farming: Farming Jobs in a Digital Age, Robotics: tomorrow, a driverless tractor?, Ecological Economics: the search for a new economic model, and Genomics: Plant and Animal Breeding in a Big Data era.

As  an  event  aimed  at  all forms  of  agriculture,  SIMA  2017  will  be  holding several  events  relating  to  the big  global  challenge  for  years  ahead:  Producing  more,  better.  These  events  include  the SIMA  African Summit,  echoing  the  agreement  signed  by  CEMA  and  the  United  Nations  FAO,  the SIMA Dealers’ Day-ting,  a  day  dedicated  to  informal  meetings  between  exhibitors  and  dealers  from  all  over  the  world  in association  with  SEDIMA  and  CLIMMAR.

The presentation by African Agricultural Ministers and African Institutional Partners, who will present their countries’, at the conference entitled “Agricultural Mechanisation in Africa: What Strategy for Progress?”  (Sunday 26 February 2017);by AXEMA and SIMA, with the participation of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), the European Agricultural Machinery Committee (CEMA), BpiFrance Export, FNCUMA, and the Pan African Farmers Organizations (PAFO), (Tuesday 28 February 2017).

The highlight of this event will be the attendance of France’s President who attends the SALON INTERNATIONAL DE L’AGRICULTURE (SIA 2017) trade show every year, just like his predecessors, as it is a must-visit trade show for French Presidents.
