Ka’oje lauds Ubah’s contributions to Nigerian Football

Friday, 24 February 2017

Former Minister of Sports, Engineer Bala Ka’oje, has called on well meaning Nigerians who have passion for the round leather game to emulate Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, the President and Financier of FC Ifeanyi Ubah, by investing their resources in football development.

The former Minister who spoke in his office yesterday said that Dr. Ubah has chosen a part that can make him the richest Nigerian in no distant time.

“I have known that young man some years back and have been following his progress in business, especially in sports development.

“Many people may think that he is wasting his money by investing in football but I am telling you that he has chosen a very right direction which if I have the resources to invest, I will follow his steps.

“Football is a very lucrative business which when managed properly, can be more money spilling that the crude oil that every Nigerian is looking upon. I am saying this because the nation is blessed with raw talents, which when brought together and given the necessary exposure and training, can be sold to big European clubs for much money.

“I heard that he is building a multi-billion naira stadium in Nnewi, I am betting you that he will have real value for the money he has invested in no distant time, as the place will when completed, turn to a tourists attraction where people from all over the world will come and spend their holidays.

“So I am urging other well meaning Nigerians to emulate the footsteps of this young man by investing in sports, which by so doing will succeed in taking lots of our teenagers off the streets, while also making very good monies for themselves,” he concluded.
