The Disciplinary Committee of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has directed that the match between ABS and Gateway be replayed on Wednesday, 9th November, 2016 at the same time and venue with both clubs bearing their respective costs.

This decision which gives both teams no right of appeal was reached on Wednesday during the Committee’s meeting at the Bolton White hotel, Abuja following complaints by Gateway over intimidation, harassment, inadequate security and the delay of the home team in granting them access to the stadium and the field of play.

The committee also ordered the match be played under close door in order to forestall any breakdown of Law and Order, with home team ensuring that adequate security is provided before, during and after the Match.

Gateway FC was mandated to pay the stipulated fine of N1,000,000 (One Million Naira only) to the NNL on or before Tuesday 8th November, 2016 as a result of                          breach of Rule 4.2(1) of the Rules of the NNL.

Also, Ogun State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr. Afolabi Afuape was reprimanded and cautioned to be of exemplary conduct to generations of football enthusiasts.

It will be recalled that the match between ABS and Gateway was abandoned due to unprecedented increase in the cost of match tickets by the home team, ABS to N10,000 (popular) and N15,000 (VIP) on the day of the match.
