There are indications that Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is
considering recalling Vincent Enyeama because of Carl Ikeme current poor form.
The English Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers goal keeper
is not in the best of form due to back injury.
Rohr confirmed during the pre match conference before Nigeria’s
game against Tanzania that he plans to hold talks with erstwhile captain of the
team Vincent Enyeama to rescind his decision and return to the team.
Though, the talk is yet to take place, analysts say the current
form of Enyeama is also not god enough as 34-year-old conceded four goals last
week against Monaco in a 0-4 loss in the ligue 1. He also conceded 1-3 loss to
Metz in another Ligue 1 encounter.
Also, Ikeme was not in his best form for Wolverhampton Wanderers
when he let in four goals yesterday as they crash to Burnley 4-0, and this is a
bad start which may allow his manager Walter Zenga to drop him for their
subsequent games few weeks to Eagles’ first World Cup qualifiers against
Zambia.
