It was celebration galore when the Rotary Club of Maryland, Enugu recently installed its 11th president for the next Rotary year.

The installation ceremony which held at the Hotel Codia, New Haven had dignitrites, well wisher and other Rotarians in attendance.

In his speech, the new president, Rotarian. Dan Odilinye said that his administration will deal with such areas as education/literacy, economic and community development and poverty alleviation.

According to him, touching human lives positively and putting smiles on the faces of the indigent in the society is the primary onus of Rotary Club.

"It is better to give than to receive and givers never lack" "that is to show you the magnitude of blessing that inhere in sacrifice especially when you know that you are not receiving anything back" he said.

He therefore advised members of the general public to always extend a helping hand to the less privileged in the society as whoever has what it takes to help but refuses to do so denies himself of the blessings of God.

Earlier is his welcome address, RTN Willy Emenari described the occasion as another milestone in the life of Rotary Club of Maryland, Enugu.

High points of the event was the presentation of a sewing machine, weaving machine, wheel chair and other packages to some beneficiaries
