We will make NF Branding a hub in Nigeria, Olufela Seton

Chief Executive Officer of NF Branding, Olufela Seton has advised manufacturers to support federal government in its effort to boost made in Nigeria products.


The owner of the leading printing and branding company in the country who stated this in an interview in Lagos said that his company, NF Branding has been doing a lot to make sure that it abides strictly with the government policy.


The NF Branding boss stated categorically that the real essence of bringing NF Branding to Nigeria was for it to become a local hub just like in South Africa.


He however, decried lack of support from banks. In his words: “Those of us who are running our businesses and who are the back bone of the economy do not get support from banks. I cannot even approach a bank for facility because they will keep asking me for things that my great grandfather never had before he died.


“I just acquired a machine worth 300,000 dollars give or take. I applied to different banks, rigmarolled with bank jargons only for me to be turned down and wasted my precious time.  In cases like this, one is precariously threading a thin line between being successful and packing up. As you know, time waits for no one. While you are running cap in hand from one bank to the other, your clients move on,” the Chief executive officer said.


Seton however, called on businesses in Nigeria to step up their games to match global practices and standards as that is the only way that Nigerians would stop denigrating made in Nigerian goods and services. He stressed that it is a sure way of “owning one’s clients.”


“NF Branding raised the standard of branding in Nigeria beyond our own perspective, and it’s been great for five years. We have worked with the biggest brands and Nigeria, and we are still working with them and we can say we own them because what happens is that when we work for you we retain ownership. It’s never a one off partnership because the more the clients are going up; we are going up as well. NF Branding cannot tell a success story without its clients’.


NF Branding, previously National Flag, was established in 1982 and started off as a flag making company in Johannesburg. Since then, the company has grown immensely, continuously evolving and expanding to become a leading below and above-the-line branding supplier.

NF Branding Nigeria recently won the branding account of Tecno mobile phone for the Nigeria and West Africa markets, adding to existing businesses from GTBank, Access Bank, Ecobank, Fidelity Bank, Nigerian Breweries, Coscharis, Huawei technologies phones and others. The Tecno mobile phone business is a purely branding contract that sources say would reside with NF branding for two years.
