Osinbajo names Federal University Oye after late General Adeyinka Adebayo

The Federal Government has named Federal University Oye Ekiti, Ekiti State after late Major General Adeyinka Adebayo.

The announcement was made by Acting President Professor Yemi Osinbajo after due consideration by the government.

Henceforth, the university will be called Adeyinka Adebayo University Oye Ekiti,

The week-long funeral rights of the late Adebayo came to a close today after his internment amid pump and ceremonies in Ekiti State.

Many dignitaries attended the burial ceremony to give their last respects to the General who served his state and the country meritoriously.

Federal University Oye Ekiti is a government-owned and -operated Nigerian university. The university is in the ancient city of Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria.


 The university was founded in 2011 as the Federal University Oye Ekiti by the federal government of Nigeria, led by President Goodluck Jonathan.
