Brand ambassadors: Glo to review contracts downward

(Lagos, Nigeria) There are indications that one of the leading global system for mobile communication and an indigenous telecom brand, Glo will review contracts for it various brand ambassadors downward.

The reason for this action is yet to be ascertained as the company has not issued any official statement to that. However, there are indications that the Mike Adenuga-led Globacom is currently passing through a difficult situation. Also, investigations further revealed that this action is partly as a result of present economic crisis in the country.

Not quite long, Glo also cancelled its multi-million naira Pan Nigeria Outdoor Advertising Contracts.

Feeler said that Glo recently issued directives to some of it Out-Of-Home (OOH) companies about the cancellation of the contracts.

Some of the affected OOH advertising agencies include, Capital Media, Fulham Nigeria, Invent media, Executive Options Media, CBS Outdoor, Adgozo, New Crystal Media, Optimum Exposure,  Mkpoko Ikenga and among others.
The revoked contract is estimated to worth about N78million mainly in the south-south, west, east, including Abuja and North West.

Also, Glo had earlier reviewed its television and press campaign budget downward leaving only its online campaign as the opportunity for exposure.
